How to Succeed with your Gift

WELCOME NEW DESIRES AND CHANGES
You will feel new desires as your NEEDS and values change over time. Welcome these desires as doorways to a compelling future. Your new interests are there for a reason. They keep you on purpose and allow you to live in harmony with your changing values.
ASK YOURSELF MEANINGFUL QUESTIONS
Ask questions that will intrigue you and lead to SELF-DISCOVERY. For example, what, more than anything, determines the quality of your life? What are the most important things your past has taught you? What would bring you permanent success and satisfaction? These revealing questions will bring INSIGHTS and focus your mind to take action. A life-long curiosity about yourself will move you toward the fulfillment of your desires.
UPDATE YOUR KNOWLEDGE
Curiosity also leads to LEARNING. Read a variety of books by authors you have not read before. Become a student of ground-breaking ideas as well as accepted theories. What do you need to know that would allow you to pursue a promising new interest? Continuous learning is necessary for continuous success -- especially in today's rapidly changing world. Keep seeking new wisdom, and APPLY that wisdom daily.
KEEP GREAT COMPANY
Learn with friends and colleagues in an atmosphere of mutual SUPPORT. Teleclasses provide an economical and enjoyable way to investigate current trends. Groups can discuss ways to interpret and apply the teachings of great books. Participants can examine new points of view as well as gain support and encouragement for their plans. Supportive relationships with peer groups provide a POSITIVE influence and offer a wealth of learning and creativity through friendship and conversation.
CREATE SOME NEW RECIPES
Use your knowledge to write some tantalizing plans to achieve your objectives. Think of your plans as recipes. Choose the INGREDIENTS carefully. Experiment with creative ideas and fresh approaches to reach goals. Life-long winners dive beneath the surface of life's circumstances and appearances. They uncover new OPTIONS and solve problems in original ways. They focus on creativity rather than competition. They create fortune from misfortune. What usually triggers your most creative ideas?
CAPTURE YOUR WISDOM IN WORDS
Record your knowledge in a JOURNAL. Include experiences, dreams, stories, poems, and quotes that inspire you. Keep track of successes and failures so that you will learn from both. Writing will also TRIGGER valuable new ideas. What is the first thing you would write in your journal today?

REVITALIZE YOUR BODY AND SPIRIT
Life-long achievers maintain physical and spiritual vitality. A HEALTHY body reflects a healthy spirit. Prayer and MEDITATION can revitalize the spirit. An appropriate physician-approved nutrition and a fitness program can revitalize the body. How could you begin raising your level of energy and vitality?
FEEL GRATITUDE FOR YOUR ACHIEVEMENTS
Acknowledge with gratitude ALL of your life situations -- the desirable and undesirable. Then create a deep feeling of gratitude for your future accomplishments as if they were already achieved. Gratitude strengthens faith. It allows you to CHOOSE the life scenario you want based on present-moment actions. You will manifest the possibilities for which you are sincerely grateful.
BRING YOUR GIFTS TO THE WORLD
Your definition of success will EVOLVE throughout life. Your perspective will shift from what you want to obtain to what you want to give. It is by using your talents and bringing your special gifts to the world that you will receive your heart's desires. What TALENTS do you possess that you've never developed to their full potential?

STAY CLOSE TO YOUR HEART
You can succeed for the rest of your life if you honor your VALUES. You will grow by welcoming new desires as a natural unfolding of your life's purpose. A spirit of sincere gratitude and giving will manifest those desires. Best of all, you can ENJOY every step of the journey.

Battling Evil Thoughts

The primary way seeds of fear enter your mind is through one of the "gates" of your senses. Seeds of fear can enter through what you see, hear, feel, or even smell. For example, if you are in a crowded building and you smell smoke, what is your first thought? The devil uses these seeds that enter through the sense gates to make suggestions. In fact, suggestion is one of his most potent weapons. His tactic is to suggest certain words, certain scenarios, and certain possible outcomes - all with the intent of planting a seed of fear. All of this takes place in the form of thoughts.
The first thing you need to realize is that negative thoughts are going to come. It is inevitable. The solution is that you do not have to keep those thoughts. Instead of wasting spiritual energy in a futile attempt to avoid bad thoughts, we should refocus our minds on how to deal with those thoughts when they come. You can take or refuse any thought, good or bad. What do I mean by "taking" a thought? Jesus told His disciples, "Why take ye thought for raiment?" (Matt. 6:28). Jesus made an important point with that comment. Thoughts are not forced upon you. They can be taken (accepted) or rejected. The choice is yours.
How is a thought "taken?" Jesus helped us out with this as well. He also said, "Take no thought saying, what shall we eat" (Matt. 6:31). According to our Lord, you "take" a thought when you open your mouth and speak out something based on that thought. Do not say something simply because it pops into your mind. When you say it, you take it. Do not take those thoughts of doubt and fear. Reject them by refusing to speak them out. Thoughts can be difficult to battle. But, you can neutralize a thought and render it harmless, long before it has ever had a chance to germinate, take root, and grow.

One of the most effective ways to silence a satanic suggestion or thought is to speak the opposite out loud, particularly when you can quote God's Word. Your mind cannot think one thing while your tongue is speaking something different. Try counting to 10 in your mind, and in the middle of counting, say, "Hallelujah!" You will find that your counting stops when you begin to speak. If you catch the devil trying to suggest a fearful thought in your mind, respond immediately by speaking scriptures with your mouth.

Enjoying Your Profession And Your Life

Pursuing a profession doesn't imply having to decide on your job over your life. If you know the right way to make a balance between work and your personal life, then you won't really need to choose one over the other. To be your best in both, however, it's wise to create a system which works for you. Your ability to manage time is actually among the top two causes of success or failure in your life. Exactly what can you do to lead your way to success?
Start a commitment notebook for your tasks. By doing this, it gets easier to track your to-do lists and work deadlines. And also, you can even log in your personal targets you may incorporate into your work schedule, like a fitness regimen you've been dying to try for instance. If you notice your work laid out that way, balancing an enjoyable life and a stellar career will be very simple. It facilitates to define the importance of the different aspects of your life so that you know what you could concentrate on. A real successful individual will continue doing things that matter.

Certainly, you will encounter stress as you go along. Say no to stress-eating. More importantly, understand the importance of laughter. This is a foolproof stress buster. Sharing your humor with others helps in reducing any awkwardness or stress brought on by work. You should know that you have a purpose in life.

Working towards this purpose at a gradual but steady pace will keep you hopeful even during your darkest moments. Handle things calmly but have a sense of responsibility. This should keep your smile on in spite of difficulties. It is inborn in a person to recognize what their purpose is, they only need time and energy to soul search and understand what needs to be done. When you stick to what you have been supposed to do, you will live in harmony with the rest of the world.

The balance you are seeking must be found within. It just needs to be rediscovered and unearthed. Take hold of what you have now and celebrate what is yet to come.

How To Overcome Challenges in Christian Courtship.

Relationships and courtships are not easy. They are full of ups and downs, you and your partner can be happy and enjoying each other’s company one minute and the next minute you can be angry and upset with each other.
That’s just the nature of relationships, whenever two different people who have had different upbringings and life experiences along with the natural differences we have as men and women, try to function as one unit, there are bound to be problems and challenges. If you have been in your courtship or relationship for a while now, you will have began to notice that it’s not all a bed of roses.
There are obstacles and challenges that you will face and are probably facing right now in your courtship. The first thing I want to say is that you should celebrate these challenges because they come to test your relationship to see if you really have something genuine and strong.
If your Christian courtship is able to stand and be strong despite all the challenges you face, it is a good sign that you have something solid. If the challenges drive the two of you apart then it means that your relationship probably isn’t strong enough and it’s better for the courtship to break up than for your marriage to break up.

You have to come to a place in your relationship where you can be yourself, where your partner gets to see not only your strengths but also your weaknesses, this is important because whoever you are going to marry needs to be able to accept you with your flaws. Don’t ever get married to someone when you haven’t shown them who you really are and when you haven’t seen the real them and what they are like when they get angry and upset. If you have never had disagreements, misunderstandings and challenges in your courtship, that could be a very bad sign, it might mean that you are both sweeping the things that offend and annoy you under the carpet in the attempt to avoid confrontations.

There is no courtship or relationship that doesn’t experience one challenge or the other, even the happiest of couples have areas of differences, what keeps them happy is the fact that they are able to still love each other unconditionally despite of their differences. So don’t run just because you have areas of differences and misunderstandings, learn to communicate, forgive
and strive to overcome the challenges and obstacles you face in your courtship and if you are able to overcome these challenges then it means you have a solid relationship. Above all, pray together.

How to overcome Setbacks

Life has a way of throwing roadblocks in our paths. You don't get that promotion at work you were sure was yours. A family member gets a shocking medical diagnosis. Your partner is having an affair. All life altering for sure, but as with most unwelcome surprises, the key to moving forward and not staying stuck in the setback is how you react. How do you navigate around them and stay on track?
"Day to day issues can seem minor, but they do add up, whether at work, school or home". "For a mom, trying to be a good mom while attempting to get things done can be stressful. She's got to figure out how to take care of herself and do something positive, even relaxation techniques and deep breathing exercises."

Sometimes just a shift in a negative pattern is all it takes to remove a roadblock. The way we think impacts the way we feel. No matter what happens, there are always different ways of looking at the situation. Setbacks that are serious usually include shock, denial, anger, acceptance of the loss and grieving the loss of a vision. Even though the time factor is integral to healing, most of us can handle setbacks better than we think. "What we don't do well is regroup and create a new vision".

The secret to long-term success with setbacks is seeing and sticking to a vision of what you want -- seeing yourself cross the finish line and win the race. Setbacks don't have to be negative.  When you have a setback, you can either wallow in it forever or get out of that state of mind by taking steps forward, whether big or small.

The following are some strategies to deal with setbacks:
• Identify the setback. Realize that it's your choice to go in whatever direction you choose.
• Ask yourself what are the positive actions you can take.
• Look at your past successes and write down three of your strengths.
• Take action on 10 things -- a class, exercise, go on a trip or out with your friends.
• Meet up with someone new, possibly someone you've been meaning to call.
• Focus on where you want to go, not the problem, and don't use excuses.

Sometimes we create our own setbacks and get consumed in the problem without seeing the possibilities. "Roadblocks are opportunities to go in better, different directions.  Whatever roadblocks may come your way, "You've (gotten over them) before, you can do it again.

ESSENCE OF MARRIAGE

Most marriages commonly start from "a boy meets girl" story that developed into a special relationship bonded by love, commitment and trust that seem to be never ending. That beautiful union is eventually sealed - in a rite of marriage - by a vow of fidelity and love for each other and only death can break them apart.

Generally, people decide to marry because of LOVE and the happiness and fulfillment it brings. Others go into marriage for convenience; companionship or security reasons while some individuals follow the words of the Bible. There are also a few people who give in to the pressures of family and society that's why they marry. If you and your partner are thinking of tying the knot anytime soon, this article will give you a better understanding of the essence of marriage and this will hopefully serve as your guide in making that BIGGEST decision in your life and how to make it work.

A good marriage is unique to every couple. There is no model for perfect marriage. Finding the right person who shares your meaning of an ideal and blissful married life is the key to it. Between you and your partner, there should be love, trust, respect, open communication, honesty, humility, appreciation and a good sense of humor, sharing of responsibility and absolute commitment and fidelity.

A marriage will work when there is no pride between you and your partner and when you can still love each other even during times of distress or when things don't turn out right. You must know how to accept both your faults and being able to forgive.
Another factor that can make your marriage click is to become each other's best friend. You must share similar goals and hopes like a team and you should have respect for each other's families. Most of all, keeping the romance alive, spending time together and enjoying a good sex can certainly make your marriage better and exciting.

We all know by now that not all marriages are a bed of roses. Some have been difficult but couples succeeded to save them. Unfortunately, there are others that ended up in divorce. Making a marriage work is a mutual effort by the couples and it takes work. Communication plays a vital role in keeping a good marriage. Couples should be able to discuss issues concerning their relationship, including children, work, and sex or even household management. What is important is that couples should spend quality time together despite hectic schedules and do something together that they both enjoy.

Whatever your reasons or purpose for getting married, don't forget that the ultimate foundation that will make it work is the LOVE that you both shared from the time you two met and made plans of spending your life together forever as husband and wife. So, don't let that love fade away!

Maximizing Your Potentials

Beginning today, don't wait for anyone to make you feel good. Become your own best friend.
Here are three steps to help you get started:

* 1. Look inside yourself to see what gives you the most satisfaction, and then go for it.
* 2. Become familiar with the people and places where you feel respected and valued.
* 3. Learn to encourage yourself. Make it a natural habit.

When you don't value yourself as a person, you may not be able to recognize all of your strengths. When you begin to encourage yourself, you'll become more satisfied with your life. As you begin to recognize and value your own strengths and resources, you'll start to give yourself more positive messages. As you become more satisfied with yourself, you won't feel a need to compare yourself with others. Instead, you will note your own progress and set your own standards. You'll feel like working with people, not against them.

Now, here are ten steps to help you build your self-esteem.

* 1. Adapt the attitude that you are a responsible and dependable person. Others will respect you and come to you willingly.
* 2. Do things for others before they ask you and without waiting for recognition. In other words, do things spontaneously for others because you want to; don't wait until someone says you have to.
* 3. Freely contribute your opinions and suggestions with your family. You'll feel better and your family will benefit.
* 4. Participate in the decision-making process at work, at home, and at civic clubs. When your actions show people that you make and carry out responsible decisions, they will respect you much more for having done so.
* 5. Accept the mistakes you make for what they are: simply human errors. Realize that making mistakes is part of being human. Learn from them and move on.
* 6. Focus on the why of your actions rather than on the what. Look at the effort and energy you put into doing something and the reasons behind it rather than looking so much at what you do.
* 7. Become an expert at looking for the positive potential in yourself and others. By learning to tune in to yourself and others, you'll become an expert on building closer, more trusting relationships.
* 8. Have confidence in your ability to make good judgment. As you start believing in yourself, others will, too.
* 9. Develop the habit of expecting positive things to happen. Even when disappointments set in, expect positive things to happen. You'll soon learn that they will.
* 10. Look at different ways of seeing a situation. Use your creative abilities and look beyond the first right answer. Self-esteem is having the I-CAN attitude in what you say and do.

Remember: When you maximize your potential, everyone wins. When you don't, we all lose.
